Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Allez, a service that turns consumer tablets and phones into order points for venues running Oracle Simphony, provided by Evil Teddy Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (“we”, “us”). By creating a venue on Allez or using the service you agree to these terms on behalf of the business you represent (“you”, the “customer”).

1. The service

Allez connects to your Oracle Simphony system through Oracle’s published Simphony Transaction Services Gen 2 API, using credentials that you supply. Devices you enrol can browse your menus, open and pick up checks, send orders, and settle to your configured tenders. Allez is an independent product: it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by Oracle, and you are responsible for holding valid Simphony and Transaction Services licences and for ensuring your use of the API is permitted under your agreement with Oracle.

2. Demo venues and trials

Sandbox (demo) venues run against simulated data and are free. Connecting a real Simphony environment starts a paid subscription, which begins with a 14-day free trial unless we agree otherwise. We may remove sandbox venues that appear abandoned.

3. Fees and billing

• £99/month per venue (includes 2 enrolled devices), £25/month per additional enrolled device, £49/month for the voice ordering module, and a one-off £495 onboarding fee unless waived. Prices exclude VAT where applicable.
• Billing is handled by Stripe. Card details never touch our servers. You can update payment details or cancel at any time in the Stripe billing portal.
• Device counts are metered from enrolments: enrolling a device above your included allowance adds it to your subscription; revoking it removes it, prorated by Stripe.
• If a subscription is cancelled or remains unpaid after Stripe’s retries, venue access is suspended. We do not suspend service mid-dunning: a failed payment being retried does not interrupt your venue.

4. Your responsibilities

• Keep your owner link, enrolment keys, and device access confidential; rotate them from your portal if you believe they have leaked. Actions taken with your keys are treated as yours.
• Ensure staff using Allez are authorised to operate your POS, and that the Simphony credentials you supply are yours to use.
• Do not attempt to probe, overload, or disrupt the service, resell it without our agreement, or use it in violation of applicable law.

5. Availability and support

We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it. Allez depends on systems we do not control — in particular your Oracle Simphony cloud environment and the network link between Oracle’s cloud and your property. When those are degraded, Allez will be too; the app surfaces POS-link state so your team can see the difference. Support is by email and we respond as quickly as a small, focused team can.

6. Data

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. In short: your Simphony credentials are encrypted at rest, card payments are handled entirely by Stripe, and we process venue operational data only to provide the service.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (including lost revenue during outages of Allez, Oracle’s systems, or your connectivity), and our total liability in any 12-month period is capped at the fees you paid us in that period. During a free trial or sandbox use the service is provided as-is.

8. Ending the agreement

You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; service continues to the end of the paid period. We may suspend or terminate for non-payment, for material breach of these terms, or where we reasonably believe your use puts the service or other customers at risk — with notice where practicable. On termination we delete your venue data as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we will give you reasonable notice by email or in the product; continued use after the notice period means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
