Evil Teddy Ltd (“we”, “us”), registered in England and Wales, runs Allez. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and your rights under UK data protection law. The short version: we collect very little, we sell nothing, we run no advertising or analytics trackers, and card payments never touch our servers.
| Data | Why | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Your name and work email when you sign up or contact us | Creating your venue, sending your setup link, support, and service notices | Contract |
| Venue configuration, enrolled-device names, and staff names / POS IDs used to sign in on devices | Operating the order points your venue runs | Contract (we act on your instructions — see “Venue data” below) |
| Order and check data passing between your devices and your Simphony system | Relaying POS operations; brief caching for performance; error diagnostics | Contract |
| Billing details (name, email, subscription state) | Charging for the service — collected and stored by Stripe, not us; we hold only the subscription status Stripe reports | Contract / legal obligation |
| Voice clips, if your venue enables voice ordering | Transcribing spoken orders; audio is sent for transcription and not stored by us | Contract |
| Standard server logs (IP address, request path, timing) | Security, rate-limiting, and abuse prevention | Legitimate interests |
For data inside your venue — staff identifiers, orders, checks — your business is the controller and we process it only to provide Allez. Your Oracle Simphony credentials are stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and are used solely to call the Simphony API on your behalf; they are never shown back, logged, or shared.
We share data with no one else, and we do not sell or rent personal data.
The website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. The POS app stores a device token and screen preferences in your browser’s local storage — that data stays on the device and identifies it to your venue only.
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict processing, and ask for it in a portable format. Email ash@evil-teddy.com and we will respond within a month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
If this policy changes materially we will note it here and, for significant changes affecting how your data is used, tell you by email or in the product.
